Rolling JGR team tops Nationwide night test session Monday

CONCORD, N.C. – Denny Hamlin stayed atop the scoring sheet Monday night in the evening session of the Nationwide Series test at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Hamlin, who led Monday’s afternoon session, turned a fast lap of 182.217 mph Monday night in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. The No. 20 entry has won the last four Nationwide races and leads owners standings.
Defending series champion Carl Edwards was second at 182.014 mph for Roush Fenway Racing, with Kasey Kahne third at 181.947 for Gillett Evernham Motorsports.
Roush Fenway’s Greg Biffle was fourth, with Gillett Evernham’s Chase Miller fifth. Sixth through 10th were David Stremme/Steve Wallace (sharing Rusty Wallace Racing’s Chevrolet), Marcos Ambrose (JTG Racing), Johnny Benson (JGR), Jeff Burton (Richard Childress Racing) and Brad Keselowski (JR Motorsports).
The Nationwide test at Charlotte concludes Tuesday with two sessions, one from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and another from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT.
