R3 Motorsports has announced the release of Rob Fuller from the NASCAR Nationwide Series team. Fuller ran the day-to-day operations of what has grown into a two-car team.
The team said Richardson Sr. remains team owner, as R3 stands for Robert Richardson Racing. Fuller also had been involved in the day-to-day decisions of the team, both business and competition.
Fuller served as an assistant crew chief on the team’s two cars, helping whichever car needed the most assistance on race day. Fuller ran the team out of its China Grove, N.C., shops.
