Patrick Sheltra to drive for MacDonald Motorsports at Kansas
Sheltra Motorsports officials say Patrick Sheltra will drive MacDonald’s Motorsports’ No. 81 Dodge in this weekend’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway.
Buffalo Wings & Rings and MC2 Energy Drink, which back Sheltra’s ARCA Re/Max Series entry, will sponsor the No. 81 this weekend.
Sheltra drove the car in the July race at Daytona but crashed and finished 41st.
“I’m excited and thankful about getting another shot in a Nationwide car this weekend,” Sheltra said. “I am shooting for a top-20 finish this weekend. This is the same car we raced at Homestead-Miami Speedway [for Jay Robinson Racing] last year, and we were able to come away with a solid top-25 run, so I’m hoping for a little bit more this weekend.”
Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
