Parker Kligerman to run limited Nationwide schedule for Penske Racing in 2010

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Penske Racing President Tim Cindric said Friday at Talladega Superspeedway that Parker Kligerman will compete in a limited NASCAR Nationwide Series scheduled in 2010.

Kligerman, the runnerup in the ARCA Re/Max Series standings this year, has driven in one Nationwide race. He won the pole and finished 16th at Kansas Speedway in a Penske Dodge earlier this month.

“We sat down with Parker this week,” Cindric said. “We’re going to run a limited Nationwide Series with him and support him in some way, shape or form. It’s certainly our intent to get him as many quality races as we can, whether that’s under the direct Penske Racing banner, or we help him do that through some other means.”

Penske Racing is expanded to two full-time Nationwide teams next year, with Brad Keselowski and Justin Allgaier driving. Only two other teams currently field Dodges full time: MacDonald Motorsports and K Automotive Motorsports.

Amalycke, you "hear" that no-talent drivers are getting rides every week. Get out of fantasy land.

Parker is getting his reward for running well in ARCA. He should be going full-time in my opinion, but Penske isn't ready to expand to a 3rd full-time team yet.

    IMHO:
2010, PK runs full time ARCA and a few NW. JA has full time NW run for championship.
2011, JA and PK both run full time NW. JA runs a few Cup races.
2012, Brad K goes back to Hendrick after Mark retires, JA moves up to Cup. If PK is still as good as we think, he wins NW championship.
These guys are young and 2 years of seasoning will make them better.
Moving guys to cup too soon can ruin their careers (i.e. Reed Sorensen). They need more time to LEARN.
