ESPN officials say ESPN’s coverage of Friday night’s Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway earned a 1.6 Nielsen Media Research rating and attracted 1.496 million households.
The officials say directly comparable ratings weren’t possible since the 2007 race was run on a Saturday afternoon and was broadcast on ABC.
The three races on ESPN this year are averaging 1.7, the officials said.
