NASCAR fines K-Automotive crew chief for carburetor issue
NASCAR fined K-Automotive Motorsports crew chief Wesley Gonder $5,000 on Wednesday for carburetor venturies that exceeded the mandated size.
The carburetor was taken from the No. 26 car, driven by Brian Keselowski, during the NASCAR Nationwide Series' opening-day inspection last Friday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The penalty, with the driver and team allowed to keep points earned in the event, is consistent with past penalties for the same infraction found during opening-day inspection.
