JD Motorsports announced Tuesday that Mike Wallace will return to the NASCAR Nationwide Series team full time in 2010.
Wallace has raced in 15 events for JDM this season since joining the team full time midway through the year.
“I enjoy working with the entire [No.] 01 J-D Motorsports Chevrolet team,” Wallace said in a news release. “[Team owners] Johnny and Lori Davis are true racers and will do whatever it takes to be competitive. First and foremost, they are great and honest people. They have already ramped up the shop and competition development with NASCAR Nationwide driver Kertus Davis heading up the team’s in-shop efforts.
“Ricky Viers, a veteran crew chief, brought his talents and efforts to help lead the team to respectable results. As we continue our search for marketing partners for the 2010 season, we invite companies that have the same goals in performance and perfection as JD Motorsports."
Lori Davis said Wallace has been “a godsend to us.”
“His experience and gregarious style has put the entire operation on a planed pathway to success,” she said. “He represents our sponsors so well. His communications with our crew chief and really the entire team is always positive and constructive.”
