RICHMOND, Va. – Mike Wallace posted the fastest speed in the first session of Nationwide Series testing Monday at Richmond International Raceway.
The Germain Racing driver turned a lap of 125.377 mph around the 0.75-mile oval. Roush Fenway Racing’s David Ragan was next on the chart with a speed of 125.174 mph.
Third through fifth were Roush Fenway’s Carl Edwards, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin and JR Motorsports’ Landon Cassill.
Michael Waltrip Racing’s David Reutimann was sixth, followed by Roush Fenway’s Matt Kenseth, Braun Racing’s Kyle Busch and Jason Leffer, and Baker Curb Racing’s Brad Coleman.
An evening session is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT today. The teams return to the track for testing from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. and 6 p.m.-9
p.m. Tuesday.
