Bobby Hamilton Jr. will return to the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 in this weekend's NASCAR Nationwide Series Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway, Hamilton's hometown track.
Hamilton also drove for the team at Dover International Speedway last weekend, finishing 15th in his first start of the season.
“The guys on this team are all so great, and I really enjoy working with them,” Hamilton Jr. said. “ To have my first race of the season go as well as it had gives me a lot of confidence that we can go out and better our performance this weekend.”
In 11 career starts at the Nashville Super Speedway, Hamilton Jr. has three top-five and six top-10 finishes, with a top finish of second, which came in 2002.
“All [the] guys in the shop are looking forward to this weekend,” crew chief David Ingram said. “With this being a standalone race, it gives us a chance to improve our points position."
The team is 23rd in the owner points.
