SPARTA, Ky. – Joey Logano is hitting .667 in Nationwide Series qualifying. Logano won his second consecutive pole and his second in three starts in the series by qualifying at 175.558 mph for the Meijer 300 tonight at Kentucky Speedway.

Logano won the pole at Nashville Superspeedway last weekend but crashed while trying to rally from a bad pit stop.

Logano, driving Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 20 Toyota, edged Jason Keller and Marcos Ambrose for the Kentucky pole. Keller (CJM Racing) ran the same 174.853 mph lap as Ambrose (JTG Racing), but Keller will start second because he is higher in owner points.

“The GameStop Toyota was really good," Logano said. "Surprisingly, it was a lot better than it was in practice. [Crew chief] Dave Rogers and whole team did a great job getting this thing closer to where I want it. I don’t know what to think about the race yet. They’ve changed so much that we’re not really too sure. We were a little snug there, so we’ll probably be a little snug in the race. At Nashville, we went from really loose to really tight.”

Ambrose will start third, followed by Rusty Wallace Racing’s David Stremme and Baker Curb Racing’s Brad Coleman.

Sixth through 10th were Bryan Clauson (Chip Ganassi Racing), Jeremy Clements (subbing for JGR's Kyle Busch), Landon Cassill (JR Motorsports), Scott Wimmer (Richard Childress Racing) and Jason Leffler (Braun Racing).

Busch will have to start at the rear of the field after because the team made a driver change.

Danny O’Quinn was the only driver who failed to qualify after he had engine problems on his second lap. O’Quinn replaced Brett Rowe this weekend in Day Enterprises Racing’s Chevrolet.

Dwayne Leik (Davis Motorsports) crashed on his second lap and will be forced to a backup car.

Fitz Motorsports withdrew its No. 36 Dodge before qualifying, leaving 44 cars to attempt to make the race.

Coverage of the race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
