CONCORD, N.C.Joey Logano celebrated his 18th birthday Saturday by helping announce sponsorship for his Nationwide Series debut next weekend at Dover International Speedway.

Logano, a Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, will be sponsored by GameStop, a video game retailer, at Dover. GameStop will also back the No. 20 Toyota in two other races this season – Nashville and Richmond – while serving as an associate in 15 other events Logano will drive in the series.

“We want to get him in everything we can as fast as we can, but at the same time we want to make sure we don’t put undue pressure on Joey,” team owner Joe Gibbs said. “The last time I called him was at a test, and I said, ‘Hey, no pressure. We’ll take a first or second every time. Don’t worry.’”

JGR signed Logano in 2005, the year he made his debut on the Hooters Pro Cup tour. In June of that year, Logano won a Hooters Pro Cup race at Mansfield.

Last year, Logano won the Camping World East championship. Because of NASCAR’s age restriction in its three national series, Logano had to wait until he turned 18 to make his Nationwide debut.

“To get that first start at Dover, thank God, finally," Logano said. "I’ve been waiting for seems like 18 years. I’m really, really excited to get in that 20 car and see what we can do.”

JGR’s No. 20 has won the last four Nationwide races, with Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch driving.

Good Luck to you, Joey. We have watched you in Mobile, AL a few weeks ago. You know our son Brian, who works for Stanly Smith. We know, from seeing you in action, you will be a "great". Again, Good Luck
