CONCORD, N.C. - Jason Leffler led Thursday's first Nationwide Series practice for Saturday's Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Leffler had a fastest lap of 179.641 in his No. 38 Braun Racing Toyota. He was followed by Roush Fenway Racing's David Ragan with a lap of 178.512 mph and Braun Racing's Kyle Busch at 178.495 mph.
Rounding out the top 10 were Roush Fenway's Carl Edwards, Gillett Evernham Motorsports' Kasey Kahne, Gillett Evernham's Chase Miller, Phoenix Racing's Mike Bliss, Kevin Harvick Inc.'s Cale Gale, Rusty Wallace Racing's David Stremme and Chip Ganassi Racing's Bryan Clauson.
Final practice is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
