TALLADEGA, Ala. – Jason Leffler’s Braun Racing Toyota led the final Nationwide Series practice Thursday in preparation for Saturday’s Aaron’s 312.
Leffler went 194.342 mph in the No. 38 Toyota and was more than two-tenths faster than second-place Mike Bliss. Phoenix Racing’s Bliss went 193.365 mph, while third place Marcos Ambrose (JTG Racing) went 193.146.
Cale Gale was fourth for Kevin Harvick Inc. at 192.618, with Mike Wallace fifth for Germain Racing at 192.533.
D.J. Kennington (MacDonald Motorsports) was sixth, followed by David Stremme (Rusty Wallace Racing), Stephen Leicht (Richard Childress Racing), Clint Bowyer (RCR) and Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway Racing).
Qualifying for the Aaron’s 312 is at 5:05 p.m. EDT on Friday, with the race at 3 p.m. Saturday.
