Baker Curb Racing officials announced that Burney Lamar will drive the team’s No. 27 Ford in Friday’s Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Lamar had driven the team’s No. 37 Ford in eight races this season. Brad Coleman started the year in the No. 27 but left after the Watkins Glen race. Sprint Cup driver David Gilliland filled in at Michigan last weekend.
“I think this weekend is going to be incredible,” Lamar said. “The Baker Curb team has been working hard at the shop this week to get the No. 27 Kleenex Ford Fusion ready to go. Bristol is a tough track, but nothing compares to racing there, especially under the lights. We are excited to make our own noise on the half-mile.”
