FONTANA, Calif. – So whatever happened to the car that slid along the Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway wall last year, leaving a trail of flames as driver Brad Keselowski held on?

It’s not at JR Motorsports.

It’s at Junior’s home.

OK, it’s not inside the home, but it’s on team co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s property.

“Dale’s got it out on his property there,” said Keselowski, who lives in an apartment on Earnhardt Jr.’s property. “Every once in a while, we’ll get in a golf cart or a four-wheeler and drive by it and see it.”

Keselowski remembers every bit of the wreck, not that he really wants to. But that doesn’t keep him from looking at the car every once in a while.

“It’s a good conversation piece,” Keselowski said. “It’s actually out back in the woods. It’s on a hill and there’s vines and stuff growing through it. It’s cool because Dale left it completely intact. Every single piece other than the radio is in it. It’s really cool to see.”

Dont know why that he would want to see it other than it is a reminder of how much safer nascar has gotten. Everyone tends to trash nascar but they have come along way since Dale SRs death.Thank god they have cuz we still have Brad.

Seems to me it deserves a better fate than rusting away. After all - it protected it's driver. That is ultimately more important than winning a race.

I think it is so neat that Dale keeps his cars. On Shifting Gear's it showed a line of his #8 cars....I would keep them too!! They look neat out in the weeds and stuff like that. I had a friend who had an OLD Chevy Pickup sitting in a space in their yard and I tried forever to get them to plant flowers and different thing's in the bed of the truck. They didn't, sold the truck for scrap, made 120.00 and now says they wish they would have left it there and planted in it!! I love stuff like that!! O.K., I'm done!! Dale Jr. ROX!!!!!!

Ole Junebug just can't get all that redneck out of him.I wonder how many #3 cars his old man saved in his backyard ? None. Theresa sold them all on e-bay.

Its just to show how far they have gained since Brad joined JRM. With one of the best crew chiefs of all time,Brad will continue to become a threat when he moves into a cup car.
