Justin Lofton to compete in four Nationwide races for CJM Racing

ARCA Re/Max Series regular Justin Lofton will compete for CJM Racing in four NASCAR Nationwide Series races this season.

Lofton will drive in the events at Michigan, Lowe's Motor Speedway, Texas and Homestead.

Lofton has driven for Eddie Sharp Racing's ARCA team for the past two seasons. In his debut ARCA season, he garnered one win, three top-five and five top-10 finishes in 20 starts. This season, he has one win, seven top-five, seven top-10 finishes and five poles in nine starts.

"Justin's natural ability behind the wheel of a race car has been impressive and we're looking forward to taking it to the next level with him," CJM Racing co-owner Tony Mullet said. "We're starting out with a smaller program with hopes of securing something long-term down the road. This is an exciting time for the CJM Racing organization."

More details regarding sponsorship and specific details about the team, which is an addition to the organization's full-time effort with Scott Lagasse Jr., will be announced at a later time.

They probably heard it from your incessant ranting about how Neuenberger is about the second coming of Jesus and all that. There's no way Neuenberger is even being courted for a Cup ride. He's got very little experience, is too old to run a Cup schedule, and has too little experience to do anything. Plus he isn't healthy enough to run.

Plus, Justin won't have clearing from NASCAR to run in Cup with only 4 NW starts. He'll need to run some races next season too before he's allowed, I'm sure.

#4 Earnhardt and Ganassi are big enough names to clear Lofton if they say he is good, NASCAR would let him race. Joey Logano basically went from the East series to Cup. He probably had 7 or less NW starts and 2 or 3 Cups starts. Personally I would rather run with CJM in nationwide instead of EGR in cup. EGR reminds me of the Titanic slowly sinking and they are running out of Lifeboats. JPM is the only secure driver in the lineup. They have Almirola wasting away without a Car. I hope they dont Drag RCR down with them. Congrats to Lofton to natiionwide CJM uses JGR equipment. because Almirola is already there. I do not see Lofton going to EGR.
