DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Former Michael Waltrip Racing development driver Josh Wise has signed with Specialty Racing to drive the No. 61 Nationwide Series car in 2010.

Wise, whose career-best finish was a fifth at O’Reilly Raceway Park in 2008, drove a few Nationwide races last season as well as a Silver Crown car for Carl Edwards and Mike Curb.

“This is the first time that I have started a new stock-car season with a set ride,” Wise said. “This is definitely a great opportunity to build on our progress week after week and improve as a team this year.

“We’re locked into the Daytona race and the next four races after that, so we can certainly get a great jump on the 2010 season.”

The No. 61 team had several drivers last season, including Brandon Whitt, Matthew Carter and Kenny Hendrick.
