James Buescher will drive Phoenix Racing’s No. 1 NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolet full time and Turner Motorsports’ No. 31 Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet part time in 2010, a spokesperson for Buescher announced Wednesday.

Buescher is 14th in the Truck series standings with three races remaining. The 19-year-old from Plano, Texas, has one top-five and three top-10 finishes in his first season for Circle Bar Racing.

Turner Motorsports is a new Truck team that is making its debut at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend.

Phoenix is 12th in the Nationwide owners standings, with one victory – by Mike Bliss – this season. The team has employed multiple drivers since replacing Bliss earlier this year. Buescher is in the James Finch-owned car this weekend at Texas.

“I’m very excited about my plans for the 2010 season to run in the Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series,” Buescher said in a news release. “Both series provide young drivers a place to learn and compete at the highest level. … Mr. Finch has proven that his organization can compete up front in contention for wins every week and I’m honored that I get to drive the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming Chevrolet full time.

“Also, to be a part of an organization like Turner Motorsports, who is just starting out in the NASCAR garage, is something that I’m looking forward to. Hopefully next season, I will take both Chevrolets to victory lane.”

Buescher competed in six Nationwide races for Braun Racing last year, posting a best finish of seventh at Gateway and winning the pole at Memphis.

“Our No. 1 Miccosukee Chevrolet runs competitively every week and we are confident that James can achieve a lot of success and contend for wins every time we get to the race track,” Finch said. “The Nationwide Series needs more drivers like James because these young talents need to have a chance to develop before moving to the next level. Furthermore, we are looking forward to working with Turner Motorsports next season.”
