JR Motorsports announced the 12 Nationwide Series races Danica Patrick will drive this season and left open the possibility of her racing in the season-opening event Feb. 13 at Daytona.
The team had previously announced she would drive in the races at Auto Club Speedway and Las Vegas in February. She will decide after the Feb. 6 ARCA race if she will compete in the Nationwide event the following week at Daytona.
After Vegas, Patrick will then take a four-month hiatus to focus on her Izod IndyCar Series responsibilities before returning to drive the No. 7 GoDaddy.com Chevy in the June 26 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The remainder of her Nationwide schedule: Chicagoland Speedway (July 9), Michigan International Speedway (Aug. 14), Dover International Speedway (Sept. 25), Auto Club Speedway (Oct. 9), Charlotte Motor Speedway (Oct. 15), Gateway International Raceway (Oct. 23), Texas Motor Speedway (Nov. 6), Phoenix International Raceway (Nov. 13), and Homestead-Miami Speedway (Nov. 20).
“I’m thrilled to announce our 2010 Nationwide Series schedule,” said Patrick. “Like I’ve said before, we just want to be smart and calculative about this process. The tracks we’ve selected not only complement the IndyCar schedule, but will give me quality seat time at a variety of facilities.”
