DARLINGTON, S.C. – Joe Gibbs Racing has been fast all year. Thursday night at Darlington Raceway was no exception.
Denny Hamlin drove the No. 18 to the top of the speed charts with a lap of 177.479 mph to lead the final Nationwide Series practice for the Diamond Hill Plywood 200.
Rusty Wallace Racing's David Stremme (177.326 mph) was second, followed by Mark Martin (driving for JR Motorsports this weekend), Brad Keselowski (JR Motorsports) and Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing).
Jason Leffler (Braun Racing), Sam Hornish Jr. (Penske Racing), Kelly Bires (JTG Racing), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing) and Mike Bliss (Phoenix Racing) rounded out the top-10.
The final practice was filled with several crashes, including Gillett Everham Motorsports' Chase Miller, Rusty Wallace Racing's Steve Wallace and Martin.
