Former RPM engineer Kevin Kidd to be crew chief for JGR Nationwide car
Joe Gibbs Racing named Kevin Kidd as crew chief for the No. 20 Nationwide Series car shared by Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin and Matt DiBenedetto in 2010.
Kidd, who spent the last four years as an engineer at what is now Richard Petty Motorsports, replaces Dave Rogers, who took over for Steve Addington as crew chief for JGR driver Kyle Busch in Cup. Kidd has previous Nationwide Series crew chief experience with Gillett Evernham Motorsports development driver Chase Miller.
“We’re excited to have Kevin join our team here at JGR,” said JGR President J.D. Gibbs. “We already have a great team in place, and Kevin will provide great leadership to them. His experience and knowledge should help keep us up front where our sponsors deserve to be each week.”
