Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be gunning for his sixth victory in NASCAR’s No. 2 series at Daytona International Speedway this weekend as he is entered in JR Motorsports’ No. 5 Chevrolet for the Winn-Dixie 250.
The Nationwide Series race is slated for Friday night, and 44 cars are entered for 43 slots. Including Earnhardt Jr., 10 Sprint Cup drivers are entered: Nationwide points leader Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing), Earnhardt Jr., David Ragan (Roush Fenway Racing), Kasey Kahne (Gillett Evernham Motorsports), Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing), Denny Hamlin (JGR), Brian Vickers (Braun Racing), Kevin Harvick (Kevin Harvick Inc.), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway) and David Reutimann (Michael Waltrip Racng).
Part-time drivers entered with full-time teams are Dwayne Leik (Davis Motorsports), Brad Teague (Davis), Derrike Cope (Jay Robinson Racing), Justin Ashburn (Day Enterprises Racing), Josh Wise (Fitz Motorsports), Scott Wimmer (RCR), Brad Baker (Baker Curb Racing), Bryan Clauson (Chip Ganassi Racing), Kertus Davis (JRR), Donnie Neuenberger (Means Racing) and David Stremme (Rusty Wallace Racing).
Also, Colin Braun is entered in Roush Fenway’s No. 16 Ford, with Burney Lamar driving Stanton Barrett Motorsports’ No. 31 Chevrolet.
