AVONDALE, Ariz. – The Davis Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series is honoring Daniel Powell, a racing fan who lived a couple of miles from Phoenix International Raceway.
Powell, 33, was killed while driving a truck in September when a cement truck he was driving was crashed into by a tractor-trailer.
The team is carrying a memorial tribute to Powell on its cars in order to raise awareness for the Daniel Powell Children’s Memorial Fund, which was set up to aid his three boys.
Contributions can be made to the fund through Bank of America.
