FORT WORTH, Texas - Roush Fenway Racing's David Ragan led the opening practice Friday in preparation for Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide O'Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
Ragan led with a lap of 184.401 mph, while owner/driver Kevin Harvick was second with a speed of 183.999 mph.
Rounding out the top-five in the session were Jason Leffler (Braun Racing), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway) and Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing).
Sixth through 10th were Jeff Burton (Richard Childress Racing), Mike Bliss (CJM Racing), Johnny Chapman (MSRP Motorsports), Terry Cook (MSRP Motorsports) and Brad Keselowski (JR Motorsports).
Final practice is today at 11:40 a.m. EST and qualifying will be at 6:35 p.m. Saturday's race is slated to begin at 12:45 p.m. EST and will be televised on ESPN2.
