Brad Keselowski wins Nationwide pole at Las Vegas; Danica Patrick to start 37th

LAS VEGAS – Penske Racing’s Brad Keselowski will start on the pole for the Sam’s Town 300 scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Keselowski turned a lap of 185.427 mph on the 1.5-mile oval Saturday and will have Kevin Harvick (185.027) on the outside of the front row for the start of the race, scheduled for 4:30 p.m. EST. Harvick is driving for his own Kevin Harvick Inc. team.

Rounding out the top five were Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch.

JR Motorsports’ Danica Patrick will start 37th.

Drivers making the field on speed were Roush Fenway Racing’s Paul Menard, Braun Racing’s Brian Scott, Baker Curb Racing’s Greg Biffle, K Automotive Motorsports’ Dennis Setzer, ML Motorsports’ Shelby Howard, RAB Racing’s Scott Riggs, Team 42 Racing’s Parker Kligerman, Mac Hill Motorsports’ Kevin Lepage, Day Enterprises Racing’s Willie Allen, Efland Motorsports’ Danny Efland, Rick Ware Racing’s Stanton Barrett, D’Hondt Humphrey Motorsports’ Danny O’Quinn Jr. and Jay Robinson Racing’s Mark Green.

Drivers who failed to make the race were TriStar Motorsports’ Jason Keller, K Automotive’s Johnny Chapman, Stratus Racing Group’s Derrike Cope, Davis Motorsports’ Jeremy Clements, D’Hondt Humphrey’s Stephen Leicht, Borneman Motorsports’ John Borneman III, Stott Classic Racing’s Andy Ponstein and Faith Motorsports’ Morgan Shepherd.
