Brad Coleman, Jeremy Clements to back up Joe Gibbs Racing Nationwide drivers at Kentucky

LEBANON, Tenn. – Brad Coleman will serve as Kyle Busch’s backup for next week’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway, while Jeremy Clements will fill in for Joey Logano for the Meijer 300, Coleman said Friday at Nashville Superspeedway.

Busch and Logano plan to travel from Michigan International Speedway, where the Sprint Cup Series is racing next weekend, in time for next Saturday’s Nationwide race at Kentucky. Coleman was originally going to fill in for Logano but his shoulders were too wide to fit in Logano’s seat.

Clements is serving as Busch’s backup for this weekend’s race at Nashville.

Logano won the race last year – his first in one of NASCAR’s three national series – while Busch is competing for the Nationwide championship.

Auggie Vidovich will again back up Roush Fenway Racing’s Carl Edwards at Kentucky.

Too bad they are only back-up and not actually racing in the race. That would be great.
