At least three drivers to share No. 32 Braun Racing seat with Brian Vickers in Nationwide Series

Braun Racing says that David Reutimann, Reed Sorenson and Brian Ickler will share time with Brian Vickers in the No. 32 Toyota for the remainder of the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

Reutimann will compete at O’Reilly Raceway Park in July, Bristol Motor Speedway in August, Richmond International Raceway in September, Dover International Raceway in September and Homestead-Miami Speedway in November. In addition to his previously scheduled races in Braun’s No. 10 car, Reutimann will drive that entry in Friday’s Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway as well as the Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in October.

Sorenson will drive the No. 32 at Gateway International Raceway in July, while Ickler, who has one career start in the series, will be in the seat for the Iowa Speedway race in August and again at Memphis Motorsports Park in October.

“I am very pleased to announce this group of drivers for the remainder of our 2009 season,” said Braun Racing owner Todd Braun. “We have a strong group of veterans and talented up-and-comers to complete the scheduled races in the No. 32 Dollar General Toyota. I feel that with this lineup and Brian Vickers, we can position ourselves for a solid finish this season.”

A driver for the No. 32 car for the August race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal and the November event at Phoenix International Raceway will be announced at a later date.

The No. 32 car, driven by Vickers and Burney Lamar this year, is 10th in the owner standings.

Mentioned Drivers: Brian Vickers

Make it 4 drivers now, hearing that they have thrown Donnie Neuenberger's hat into the ring as of 3pm EDT.

Amalycke, please stop with the incessant nonsense about Neuenberger. He's not going to be driving for Braun Racing, so please stop trying to make it sound like he is. You're so infatuated with him that it makes it seem like you are him.

I guess the Gibbs drivers no longer have a relationship with Braun Racing, good to here Sorenson will be in the #32, they should let him race at Gateway, where he won in 2006 or 2007, cant remember. Ickler and Reutimann, along with Vickers, I could care less about, nothing against them, I just don't follow them a lot.

I'm not sure if Ickler is ready for a Nationwide ride yet, but i'll closely be watching him, kid's got some amazing talent.

I think Ickler will be ready for a limited schedule next year. Good for him, too. The only driver I don't like on this list is Sorenson.

Reed Sorenson won twice at Gateway in the old Busch series -- excellent choice.

Braun Racing is smart in choosing Reed for Gateway. Reed is on there and has proven it in the past. He was close to getting a third win there. Miss seeing Reed race like he did in the Busch series. He is maturing into a regular Cup finisher! Wish he could have half a season in the Nationwide series so he could be getting more seat time. Go Reed July 18th!
