Kyle Busch speeds to truck series pole for Friday night's race

CONCORD, N. C. – Billy Ballew Motorsports' Kyle Busch snared the pole for Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200.
Busch posted a lap of 179.045 mph in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session that came just hours before the race. Kevin Harvick Inc.’s Ron Hornaday, who is the series points leader, will start on the outside after a lap of 176.904.
Hornaday’s teammate, Jack Sprague, qualified third, followed by Bill Davis Racing’s Mike Skinner and Roush Fenway Racing’s Erik Darnell.
Nick Tucker and Wayne Edwards failed to qualify.
The race is slated to start at 8 p.m. EDT.
