Billy Ballew Motorsports is bringing a Joe Gibbs Racing duo into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this weekend. Kyle Busch returns in the team’s No. 51 entry, with his Sprint Cup teammate Denny Hamlin driving Ballew’s No. 15.

The trucks will compete Saturday in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. Miccosukee Resorts will be the primary sponsor on both entries.

The organization has two top-five and four top-10 finishes at the 0.526-mile Virginia oval.

While Busch has two series wins this season and is the truck series points leader, Hamlin is making only his third start in the series.

“I think running in the truck race is always valuable for us in the Cup race on Sunday,” Hamlin said. “The new Cup car and the Craftsman trucks are very similar in the draft. On the competition side, it will be valuable for both Kyle and me as we can learn a lot on pit strategy and the draft with a vehicle that doesn’t turn real well like the trucks because of its long wheelbase.

“It should be a lot of fun mixing it up out there, and I hope to walk away with a solid finish and valuable information for Sunday.”
