Busch excited for his wedding
Kurt Busch is like every other Nextel Cup driver. He loves racing and he loves to talk about it. But lately, there’s one thing he loves to talk about even more – his wedding.
I mean, the guy has told us everything about his upcoming nuptials. A wedding planner and his fiancée Eva Bryan have handled the affair. Want some details? Busch will give ‘em to you.
Let’s see … it will be held on the off-weekend between Pocono and Indianapolis, on Virginia real estate developer Don Hoffler’s front porch on secluded farm property.
Busch and Bryan had hoped to have the wedding on a beach pier, but environmentalists stepped in and said they couldn’t build one because it was the mating season for the endangered tiger beetle. This upset Bryan, who cried on Busch’s shoulder.
Hey, I can’t make this up.
Jesse Walker, a good friend of Busch’s, will be the best man, who doesn’t know what to say when he toasts the happy couple and will rely on a speech provided by the wedding planner.
About 250 guests are expected to attend the wedding, which will be held at sunset so they will be comfortable. They can expect first-rate food, drink and entertainment at the reception, which will be held in Hoffler’s backyard.
The couple plans a quick honeymoon on a deserted island, where they intend to do nothing for a few days.
Consider yourself as informed about a driver’s wedding as you will ever be, courtesy of Busch, who, in a recent press conference, talked about his more than he did about racing.
He’s obviously excited about getting hitched. “I can’t wait to get married,” he said. “It’s going to be fun. I can’t wait to come back to Indianapolis as a married man and see how I race with that wedding ring on.”
Any man that excited deserves the perfect wedding. I hope Busch and Bryan have it. Durn tiger beetles.
