Time for wins
With only two races remaining in the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, it’s getting kind of late for some folks who, back in February, probably had the idea they might win a race or two this season.
This is their wake-up call.
Four Chase For The Sprint Cup drivers – Carl Edwards, Juan Pablo Montoya, Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman – are 0-for-2009, a statistic few would have predicted for such a group in the preseason. Additionally, the Richard Childress Racing trio of Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton and Kevin Harvick is limping along winless, another odd circumstance few would have forecast.
And, of course, there are the continuing struggles of Dale Earnhardt Jr., whose winless streak stretches far back into 2008.
It’s time to shine, guys. Time, it is a-wastin’.
