Gluckometer at Sonoma
SONOMA, Calif. - The Gluckometer made a summer appearance at Infineon Raceway, unscientifically rating fan reaction during driver introductions with a road-course flair. Drivers are scored from 1-10 (10 being the most noise, 1 being the least).
Continuing a trend from the last couple months, Dale Earnhardt Jr. once again did NOT receive the most cheers. He scored a 7.5 on the cheers scale, while Mark Martin topped him with an 8. Martin has been getting the most cheer noise for most of the season.
Jeff Gordon had the most overall noise, with a 50-50 mix of cheers and boos (scoring a 9) - even though he was close to his hometown of Vallejo.
And of course, Kyle Busch once again had the most boos as the fans showered him with a throaty 8.5 rating.
Others drawing noisy reactions: Jimmie Johnson (7 on the mix scale), Tony Stewart (6 for cheers only), Carl Edwards (5 for cheers) and Juan Pablo Montoya (4.5 for boos).
