2009 championship: A movie I've seen before
I know that as a fan I’m supposed to be saddened by end of the season. I am, but mostly because it means there is no other opportunity for someone to win the championship besides Jimmie Johnson.
It’s as if I’m watching a movie, and we are heading into the final scene. The upcoming awards banquet, the credits. But it’s a movie I’ve watched before. Sure, it was good the first few times, but I think I’m ready for a different ending.
For Johnson fans, this movie is a classic, one you memorize the lines of and never grow tired of. Me, I’m just hoping for a good final scene in an action adventure movie, even if the ending is predictable.

Nov 21, 2009 at 4:20 AMExcept that in the movies, the ending is predetermined by a producer who makes it come out however he thinks the audience will most appreciate but in racing, the ending is determined by skill and speed and strategy.

Dec 14, 2009 at 10:03 PMNASCAR gets more like WWF Wrestling every year. The illusion that the outcome is not planned is part of it's charm. Now all they need is for Ted Turner to challenge Brian France for "King of Stockcar World"
