Talladega Halloween
As if Talladega isn’t wild enough, let’s throw Halloween in there. What self-respecting fan would pass up the perfect opportunity (not to mention audience) to fuse a little Halloween and NASCAR spirit into one respectable or maybe ridiculous costume.

Is it just me, or does it feel as if we are in a perpetual stage of waiting for the NASCAR Hall of Fame?

I said it before Mark Martin retired. I said it when he came out of retirement. I’m saying it again, now:I would love to see Mark Martin be added to the list of Sprint Cup Champions.

Atlanta being my “home” track, I was excited to see racing under the lights for Sunday night’s Pep Boys Auto 500. The stands looked fuller than I had seen in a long time, indicating I was not the only one energized by the change.

Is it possible to have a race free of rain?

Like most fans, the closer we move to the Chase For The Sprint Cup the more eager I am to see how each race result shakes out in the overall points standings.

I watched a cable news program recently and was surprised to see the featured guest was none other than NASCAR’s beloved Joe Gibbs.

NASCAR is as American as blue jeans, apple pie, and the Grand Canyon. What a great way to celebrate our freedom, with a race in Daytona where the sport has such deep roots. Roots that run through to a fan base which is unabashedly patriotic.

As a fan, I loved the double-file restarts Sunday at Pocono Raceway. They did exactly what was promised, which was to create a bit more excitement.

OK, so Tony Eury Jr. is out as cousin Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s crew chief. Now everyone has their eyes wide open to see if this change on the Hendrick Motorsports team will bring about a win for NASCAR’s most popular driver. Honestly, I don’t know.

If there was any group of people I could assume were eager to get to work this morning, it would have to be the crew of the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet. The taste of victory is addictive, and if the team wanted to win before, they know what it’s like to win now after Tony Stewart’s victory in Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Didn’t we just have a night race last weekend?
Rating: 5.0 Comments 3Good win for Joe Gibbs Racing's Joey Logano
I found it interesting that the drivers finishing one-two in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Nashville were the young guys at the track. But I don’t think that there could be a starker contrast between the two.
